Stupendous Man: Super City #1 - Arrival

This is the Cover for Stupendous Man #1: Super City. Featured on the cover is our titular protagonist, Stupendous Man/Joey Kasaras, his main enemy, David Obamashu, and his love interest, Angela Hote.

A plane flies across the skies

Our hero describes that he's failed Angela. He mentions that after beating the villains, he let his guard down and she was kidnapped, leaving only a note to find her.

The note tells Joey that to find Angela, he has to go to Obamashu. The captain of the airplane describes that they will be landing soon and tells the passengers to fasten their seatbelts, except our hero is the only one on the plane. He remarks how strange it is. He then describes how Obamashu is fifty miles east of Japan

Ovamashu was founded by a man named Roku Obamashu, who is an eccentric billionaire. Obamashu is obsessed with martial arts and has a dedicated university just for it.

The hero describes how last year, he competed, and his friends and he did well. A giant monster appeared and killed his monster. The hero laments the futility of someone capturing Angela since he was planning to come back anyway.

The plane lands and the hero introduces himself as Joey Kasaras.

Joey tries to call his brother, Jonathan, but fails due to the time zone difference.

A counselor from the university has come to pick up the hero, but Joey declines and blames the man for trying to cover up the giant monster attack that happened the previous year.

Joey gets lost trying to find the school. Two muggers show up.

The two muggers argue about whether they should mug Joey

The muggers agree to Mug Joey. Joey asks if they are stupid.

The first mugger shoots at Joey. Joey dodges the bullet and then punches the mugger into a tree.
